Compare Credit Card Fees

To compare credit card fees is something that you just have to do if you are looking at investing in one. The fees are important as it indicates what you have to pay on the card, so what you should do is compare prices of cards from FNB, ABSA, Nedbank and Standard Bank to see whose interest rates will be the cheapest when you do online shopping as well as in-store shopping. Visa and MasterCard will also have different prices, so decide which of these cards you would use and then get the fees accordingly. It might take you some time to do this, but at least in the end you will know which bank to use.

Many people do not find this necessary, but then they end up paying back a lot of money because they didn’t take the time to compare credit card fees. It is a once off task, so once you have found whether Standard Bank, FNB, ABSA or Nedbank charges the least you can get on with your online shopping and not have to worry about the interest rates and fees. It doesn’t matter whether you prefer to use a MasterCard or a Visa; you can get prices on both and take it from there. Unless there is a specific reason as to why you will only use one or the other, you can choose according to the costs involved.

If you don’t compare fees before getting a credit card, you will be expected to pay whatever they tell you to pay once you have started making purchase with the card, whether that’s online or in-store. Give yourself a few days to compare credit card fees so that you know you have enough time to make a decision; it is a very important decision to make after all!
